Choosing from Basic, Improved or Superior, you can decide which part of this Miracle Worker trait to use based on how many specialization points you wish to dedicate to it. Turning to starship traits, when researched and implemented correctly, you can increase your ship’s ability to do more damage, survive and recover faster and create effects that can have devastating results for your enemies. However, console slots are limited, and weapons can only upgrade so far. In addition to the many enhancements that can add to your ship’s power, damage and survivability, you have many options. Also some of the older T5 ships were a bit weak on hull and shields compared to modern ships, some however were pretty strong or offered fleet variants that were stronger.Utilize these traits to help maximize your advantages in battle against enemy fleets! Part of what I think makes the difference in the older ships is the presence or lack thereof in universal bridge seating. But the trend lately with T6 ships is to beef them up a little to keep people buying them in the case of C-store ships and keep up the excitement for event ships and drop box prizes. T5 ships do not have any specialist hybrid BOff seats for example. Before I go on, it should be noted that T6 ships when compared to a similar T5 ship are usually not so much stronger than they are more flexible.
So here is my list of T5 ships that upgraded represent genuinely usable alternatives to a T6 variant. Many of the T5-U ships have lost their luster, others have become nearly obsolete but a handful remain rather competitive even now. It’s hard to believe that T6 ships date all the way back to 2014, but they do! Most T5 ships are upgrade-able, some are not so be mindful.
